Rydeen Enters the Market With Flagship Mirror Navigation Systems
10-Inch and 12-Inch models Feature 3.5-inch screens, Vehicle-Specific Mounts

Torrance, Calif. – Rydeen North America Inc.  today introduced two new all-in-one rear-view mirrors equipped with state-of-the-art navigation systems. The MN302 (MSRP $399.99) features a 10-inch-wide design that will fit most vehicles. The MN305 (MSRP $399.99) offers a larger mirror in a 12-inch housing. Both models are available and shipping.

Rydeen simplifies the addition of navigation in the vehicle. Rather than adding suction-cup devices, which are illegal in some states, the Rydeen MN series features a 3.5-inch touch screen built into the mirror chassis. The touch screen allows the driver of passenger to access a variety of functions easily and safely:

Navigation
Utilizing NAVTEQ mapping software over a super-stable Windows® CE platform, the navigation system of the MN series boasts an easy-to-understand interface and 2D or 3D map views. Maps for the United States and Canada are included in the built-in memory. Enter destinations using the virtual QWERTY keyboard or select from millions of Points of Interest (POIs), saved or recent destinations. Get turn-by-turn directions and text-to-speech announcements from the built-in speaker, or through the car’s audio system using the built-in FM transmitter.

Bluetooth
The Rydeen MN series allows users to connect Bluetooth®-enabled wireless phones for handsfree operation. The caller’s phone number is displayed along the bottom of the map when a call is received. Answer and end call using phone icons on the touch screen.

Back-Up Camera and Auxiliary Input
Create the complete vehicle navigation and safety system by adding a back-up camera. The video screen automatically switches to the rear view when signal is sensed on the camera input. In addition, two video inputs allow connection of other devices, such as additional cameras or a video playback device.

Media
Photos, video and music files can be loaded on an SD card and played using the MN series video screen. Audio can be routed through the speaker or through the car’s audio system via FM transmitter.
In addition to touch screen, the MN302 and MN305 feature physical buttons to adjust system volume, select between video inputs (map, back-up camera or auxiliary inputs) and turn the unit on and off. An SD card slot allows the user to load media and map updates, and the built-in GPS receiver and FM transmitter antennas speed installation time.
